Turkey toll calculator: HGS, bridges and foreign plates
For Türkiye, the key point is not a classic vignette but HGS: motorways and bridges are charged through an electronic toll/payment system and foreign plates must be checked carefully.
What the official logic says
The Turkish General Directorate of Highways explains that foreign-plated vehicles using paid motorways and bridges must have an HGS account and maintain sufficient balance. HGS can be opened via PTT branches/agencies at customs gates and in the country, as well as bank branches.
If a vehicle passes without HGS or with insufficient balance, the driver should regularize the passage within the official time frame or pay through the official foreign-plated vehicle payment channels before leaving Türkiye.
